The ROOMZ Display V3 S is a wireless room booking display for the digital management of meeting rooms and shared workspaces. With its 8.2-inch screen, a resolution of 1920 x 1440 pixels and a battery life of up to 4 years, it offers businesses a practical solution for displaying room availability and booking information directly at the entrance to a meeting room.

The display connects to the ROOMZ room booking system via the organisation’s existing Wi-Fi network. Staff can check a room’s occupancy status, view upcoming meetings and book available rooms directly on site. The wireless design makes installation easy, without the need to lay additional power or network cables.

Digital room signage for better room organisation

With the ROOMZ Display V3 S, staff gain a direct overview of the current availability of meeting rooms. The display shows relevant booking information and helps staff find free rooms more quickly.

Depending on the configuration, the room status, the organiser’s name, the meeting title and the duration of scheduled meetings can be displayed. A daily and weekly view allows upcoming bookings to be clearly displayed.

The interactive user interface allows users to book available rooms at short notice or release existing bookings early. This enables companies to make better use of their existing meeting rooms and reduce unnecessary disruptions to day-to-day office life.

8.2-inch high-resolution display

The 8.2-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1440 pixels provides a detailed view of text, room status and calendar information. The high resolution ensures a clear display of the most important booking details.

The energy-saving e-paper technology provides a paper-like display and consumes very little energy between screen updates. This makes the display particularly suitable for applications where information needs to remain visible at all times.

With dimensions of 196 x 165 x 7 mm and a weight of just 400 g, the device can be installed in a space-saving manner at meeting room entrances and other highly visible locations. The frame is available in black or silver, depending on the model.

Wireless installation without an additional power supply

The ROOMZ Display V3 S operates completely wirelessly and requires neither a permanent power supply nor a wired network connection during operation. This means that digital room signage can also be implemented in existing office buildings without the need for costly structural alterations.

The connection is established via the existing 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. The device supports the Wi-Fi standards IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and automatically selects the appropriate available frequency band when connecting.

Thanks to its compact design, the display is suitable for mounting on walls, doors and glass surfaces. The specific mounting method depends on the ROOMZ mounting accessories used and the surface in question.

Up to 4 years’ battery life for low maintenance

The integrated 8,000 mAh 3 V battery enables a battery life of up to four years, depending on usage, update frequency and network conditions.

The combination of energy-efficient display technology and wireless communication reduces ongoing maintenance requirements. Organisations can deploy multiple room booking displays in different areas of a building without having to install a separate power supply for each device.

The ROOMZ system is designed for largely automated operation. Firmware updates and Wi-Fi connection management are supported by the system, thereby reducing the regular administrative workload.

Secure Wi-Fi communication for corporate networks

For integration into professional IT infrastructures, the ROOMZ Display V3 S supports WPA2-Personal, WPA2-Enterprise, WPA3-Personal and WPA3-Enterprise. This allows the device to be integrated into various security concepts used in corporate networks.

Data is transmitted via HTTPS with support for TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3. For certificate-based Wi-Fi connections, RSA key lengths of up to 4096 bits are supported.

The device also features NFC connectivity. The supported Wi-Fi frequency bands are 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. According to the third-generation technical data sheet, Wi-Fi 6E, IEEE 802.11ax and the 6 GHz frequency band are not supported.

These security and networking features facilitate integration into existing corporate environments, provided the network configuration meets the manufacturer’s technical requirements.

Integration with Microsoft 365, Teams and existing calendar systems

The ROOMZ room booking system can be connected to Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Exchange and Google Workspace, as well as other supported booking platforms. This allows organisations to continue using their existing calendar solutions whilst also providing a digital display of room availability.

Bookings created via a connected calendar system appear on the ROOMZ display. Conversely, staff can make spontaneous bookings or release rooms via the display, provided the booking system used supports these functions.

Synchronisation takes place via the ROOMZ system infrastructure. The necessary server connection, setup and any required software licences must be taken into account when planning the overall solution.
