Expansion microphones

Characteristics and Core Functions

Professional expansion microphones are designed to complement existing audio systems. They extend audio coverage without requiring full equipment replacement. Ideal for progressively scaling infrastructure as rooms grow or layouts change, they capture voices in all directions and ensure consistent, even sound distribution.

How to choose the right solution?

• OKInstalled main system: exact compatibility with brand and model to guarantee seamless integration.
• OKRequired coverage extension: number of additional participants and distance from the main system.
• OKRoom configuration: long single table or multiple dispersed tables requiring varied microphone placement.
• OKAvailable cabling: wired installation or need for flexible wireless solutions.
• OKNumber of microphones required: calculated according to desired coverage and maximum capacity supported by the main system.

Applications across professional environments

Expansion microphones are used in large meeting rooms to capture voices from participants seated further away from the main system. For growing organisations, they enable gradual extension of existing infrastructure without immediate major investment. In training centres with large groups, they ensure equal audio participation regardless of seating position. In event environments, they temporarily increase system capacity for occasional conferences with unusually large audiences.
