Grandstream HT814 V2 HandyTone: 4-port VoIP gateway with Gigabit router

The Grandstream HT814 V2 HandyTone is a VoIP gateway designed to integrate up to four analogue telephones into an IP telephone network. Thanks to its 4 FXS ports, integrated Gigabit NAT router and remote management features, it enables businesses and small offices to modernise their telephony infrastructure whilst retaining their existing analogue handsets.

Four FXS ports and Gigabit connectivity

The 4 RJ11 FXS ports allow you to connect four analogue telephone devices, whilst support for 2 SIP profiles offers flexibility in configuring the VoIP service. The device also features 2 x 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports and a NAT router, combining telephony connectivity and networking functions in a single unit.

The compact dimensions of 130 x 90 x 28.5 mm make it easy to install on desks and in small technical spaces.

HD audio quality and advanced telephony features

The HT814 V2 supports voice codecs such as G.722, G.711, G.729A/B and Opus, ensuring compatibility with various SIP infrastructures. The dynamic jitter buffer and advanced echo cancellation help to maintain stable voice transmission.

Each port supports 3-way voice conferencing. Call transfer and call forwarding, call waiting, caller ID and Do Not Disturb mode are also available. Support for T.38 fax enables the transmission of documents over IP networks, with automatic switching to G.711 pass-through mode.

Communications and provisioning security

To protect configurations, the gateway uses AES encryption with an individual security certificate for each device. The TLS and SRTP protocols also enable the protection of SIP signalling and call audio streams, respectively.

Support for HTTPS and SSH enables management operations to be carried out via secure connections.

Automatic configuration and network management

Automatic provisioning via TR-069, HTTP, HTTPS and TFTP facilitates the deployment and maintenance of devices, particularly in installations with multiple gateways. Remote management is available via a web interface, SSH and syslog.

QoS features with 802.1Q VLANs, 802.1p prioritisation and traffic shaping help manage voice communications within the corporate network.

Business applications and compatibility

The Grandstream HT814 V2 HandyTone is suitable for offices, commercial premises, small accommodation facilities and VoIP installations with multiple analogue handsets. It allows up to four traditional telephones to be connected to an IP PBX or a compatible SIP service, reducing the need to replace existing devices.

It is suitable for SIP-based telephone infrastructures. The availability of individual features depends on the PBX, the VoIP provider and the configuration used.
