The Grandstream HT818 V2 is a professional VoIP gateway designed to integrate up to eight analogue telephone devices into an IP communications infrastructure. With 8 FXS ports, an integrated Gigabit NAT router and advanced management features, it offers a practical solution for businesses and service providers wishing to retain their existing analogue terminals whilst migrating to VoIP telephony.

Eight FXS ports for connecting multiple analogue devices

The HT818 V2 features 8 RJ11 FXS telephone ports that allow up to eight analogue terminals to be connected to a VoIP network. The device supports 2 SIP profiles, offering flexibility in configuring business communications.

The 2 x 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports and the integrated NAT router enable you to manage network connectivity, making the gateway suitable even for installations with multiple telephone extensions.

HD audio and advanced telephony features

Support for the G.711, G.722, G.723.1, G.729A/B, G.726-32, iLBC and Opus codecs ensures compatibility with various VoIP platforms. Advanced echo cancellation and dynamic jitter buffering help to maintain clear and stable conversations.

Each port supports 3-way voice conferencing. Call transfer and call forwarding, call waiting, caller ID and Do Not Disturb mode are also available. Support for T.38 fax allows documents to be transmitted over IP networks, with automatic switching to G.711 pass-through mode.

Communications security and data protection

The HT818 V2 incorporates AES encryption with an individual security certificate per device, helping to protect configuration and provisioning operations.

The TLS and SRTP protocols protect SIP signalling and audio streams respectively. HTTPS and SSH are also available for secure management of the gateway.

Automatic provisioning and centralised management

Support for automatic provisioning via TR-069, HTTP, HTTPS and TFTP facilitates the configuration and deployment of multiple devices. Administrators can manage the gateway remotely via a web interface, SSH and syslog.

Quality of Service (QoS) features, including 802.1Q VLANs, 802.1p prioritisation and traffic shaping, enable the prioritisation of voice communications on the corporate network.

It is compatible with IP PBX systems and compatible SIP-based telephony services.
