The Mitex General UHF Two way radio twin pack is a compact and powerful 5-watt two-way radio which has up to 10 times the range of license-free PMR446 radios. Mitex specializes in pre-programmed straight-out-of-the-box licensed radios, making powerful communication solutions simpler and more accessible. License forms are included in the package, so all you need to do is fill them in and send them off along with the £75 fee for a five-year license.
The Mitex General, as its name suggests, has been designed for general use in small businesses that require more power and range than a PMR446 radio can provide.
In order to utilize Mixtex General fully, a license needs to be purchased. Licensed radio walkie-talkies offer greater coverage, power, and range than unlicensed versions. Utilize the pre-programmed channels for private communication with other Mitex users
Thanks to the powerful audio and antenna system within this 2-way radio, you can hear and be heard from distances of up to 25km depending on your surroundings.
This walkie-talkie device will ensure that you are always within reach, even in demanding conditions. The radio contains a 1300mAh battery with a low battery alert feature and good talk time. When the battery does need to be recharged, simply place the walkie-talkie into the charging dock.

License FAQ Section:
How to apply for a license:
*The maximum range given by manufacturers is based on ideal conditions, such as from hilltop to hilltop, but the range you actually get will be much less if you are in a built-up area. Trees, walls, hills, and even the weather can affect the range of your two-way radio. The rule of thumb is that for every 1 watt you will get 1 mile of coverage guarantee, or more depending on the conditions.

Hi there,
Thank you for your question. You will require just the one licence for the Mitex General UHF Twin Pack radios.
Thank you.
Hello Jeff,
Yes, you can have any number of radios under the license. All Mitex are programmed to the same channels so they will work out of the box no matter when you choose to add t your fleet.
If you require specialist programming this is also possible at a cost of £10 ex VAT per radio.
Thanks for your question.
Depending on where you are these radios might or might not work, you can always get a pair and do a test, if they don't work you could consider Poc (push over cellular) radios. The most common radio license in the UK is the Ofcom Simple UK License which covers all your radios for a period of 5 years.
