The Datalogic Gryphon GD4620 is a corded barcode scanner designed to streamline data capture at points of sale, in warehouses and in professional environments. Its high-density imaging technology enables it to read 1D and 2D codes, even when they are small or poorly printed.

This version features a 1.5-megapixel sensor, a USB connection and AI-assisted decoding. The kit includes the scanner and the USB cable required for connection.

Intelligent decoding to reduce the number of scan attempts

Thanks to its dual-core processor and AI-based decoding algorithms, the Gryphon GD4620 makes it easier to capture damaged, distorted or poorly printed codes.

It also improves reading on curved, glossy or reflective surfaces, where glare and irregularities can make code recognition difficult.

HD sensor for small, high-density codes

The scanner features a 1.5 MP image sensor with a resolution of 1360 × 1120 pixels, particularly suited to capturing compact codes with information concentrated in small spaces.

It recognises standard 1D and 2D formats, including QR, Data Matrix, PDF417 and GS1 Digital Link. It also supports postcodes, composite codes and Digimarc digital watermarks.

Its scanning capability allows it to work with both printed labels and codes displayed on mobile device screens, which is an advantage when validating entries, checking orders or registering products.

Precise aiming and visual read confirmation

The green cross-shaped LED pointer helps you locate the code you wish to scan, particularly when there are several labels close together.

The Datalogic Green Spot technology projects a green signal onto the code following a successful scan. This is complemented by the 3GL indicator system and an audible alert with an adjustable tone.

The LED illumination, selectable between warm white and red, allows you to adapt scanning to different surfaces and working conditions.

USB connection for fixed workstations

The wired USB connection allows the scanner to be integrated into checkouts, counters and order-picking stations without relying on batteries or wireless connections.

Motionix technology detects movement to facilitate transitions between scanning modes. Furthermore, Datalogic Aladdin software allows different scanner parameters to be configured according to the needs of each installation.

Rugged design for everyday use

The Gryphon GD4620 is designed to withstand repeated drops from 1.8 metres onto concrete, helping to minimise downtime caused by accidental knocks.

Its IP52 rating offers protection against the ingress of dust and water droplets within the conditions specified by this rating.

The design also takes durability and environmental impact into account: the scanner’s plastic components incorporate more than 70 per cent recycled material, according to the product series information provided by Datalogic.

Use cases and compatibility

This scanner is suitable for retail outlets, supermarkets, warehouses, administrative services and light manufacturing processes. It enables products to be registered, orders to be verified, labels to be checked and barcode information to be captured at different stages of the workflow.
