SIP desktop phone for convenient and seamless call handling

The ALE-2 is one of Alcatel-Lucent's new desk phones in the Basic range with a backlit black and white display, 3 function keys and an intuitive navigation key. The desk phone offers comfortable use for users and optimal call quality. It can be used for teleworking, as it is suitable for a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or in the office. And it will ensure secure communications.

The local phonebook and call history allow you to connect with your contacts immediately. Up to 3 employees can share the handset and it will handle more calls by enabling 5-way conference bridging. It supports the SIP standard and is interoperable and compatible with Session Border Controller firewalls.

What is a Session Border Controller?

It is a powerful device that provides services such as call control, security, interoperability and voice service optimisation. It is actually a firewall for voice traffic (a SIP firewall) and ensures that the sessions that are established are legal, detecting and blocking possible attacks and intrusions.

Clear conversations

Wideband audio quality with echo cancellation ensures that you won't miss any details in those important calls that appreciate optimal communication.

Both the speakerphone and handset and even with the use of a headset, deliver enhanced audio quality.

Being able to connect it to your computer with the Giga Ethernet PC port saves you a port on your Ethernet switch and also saves you money because it offers low Class 1 power consumption.
