Solid construction, good quality. Testing revealed: range within a residential building, from apartment 1 to apartment 3, is very good. From apartment to outside, at a distance of approximately 2 km through a densely populated residential area in between, the signal is acceptable with some static and still understandable. Beyond that, communication is no longer possible at a distance of approximately 2.5 to 3 km.

The XT 460 radio seems solid and efficient. Unfortunately I don't know how to get the right frequency to communicate with my other radios. In addition, the radio is programmable and it is possible to adjust the frequency by software; the necessary software can be downloaded from Motorola for free but the communication cable between the radio (placed on its base) and the computer (USB port) is missing. I tried to get it from Motorola but I was sent back to France to wholesalers who supply Motorola equipment but not to individuals. I don't know how to get this cable.
