HAMMER Construction 3 5G Military Edition: a rugged smartphone with tools for field work

The HAMMER Construction 3 5G Military Edition is a rugged smartphone designed for construction professionals, technicians and maintenance staff. It combines 5G connectivity with built-in tools for carrying out preliminary checks, measuring distances and documenting work.

The device features a electrical cable detector, a laser rangefinder and a night-vision camera. This version does not include a thermal imaging camera.

Cable detector for preliminary checks on walls

The Cable Catch system helps to locate live electrical cables hidden within walls. Visual, audible and vibrating indicators make it easier to check the area before carrying out installation work.

The detector is an auxiliary tool: it does not replace checks carried out with certified instruments or the safety procedures required for electrical installations.

Integrated laser rangefinder for site surveys and installations

The laser rangefinder allows measurements to be taken directly from your smartphone, reducing the need to carry a separate device for routine checks.

This is a useful feature for checking distances during site surveys, assembly work and maintenance tasks. Measurements can be managed using the integrated software tools.

IP69 protection for demanding working environments

The IP69 rating indicates a high level of protection against dust and high-pressure water jets. The device also features impact resistance rated IK04 and declared compliance with the MIL-STD-810H standard.

The manufacturer specifies a 1.5-metre drop test. The internal HEXCore structure is designed to distribute mechanical stresses and limit the effects of impacts on components.

These features do not constitute ATEX certification for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Cameras for documenting work even in the dark

The 50 MP main camera allows you to take photographs of systems, installations and completed work. The dedicated 24 MP night vision sensor enables you to capture images in dimly lit environments or where there is no visible light.

The 32 MP front-facing camera is suitable for video calls and communication with colleagues and technical managers.

6.58-inch display and Android 16

The 6.58-inch IPS display, with a resolution of 1080 × 2408 pixels, provides ample space for viewing documents, photographs and professional applications. The 120 Hz refresh rate makes navigating the interface smoother.

The Gorilla Glass 5 helps protect the screen. Glove mode makes it easier to use the touchscreen during certain operational tasks.

The Android 16 operating system allows you to use compatible mobile apps for communication, documentation and task management.

Dimensity 7100 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage

The MediaTek Dimensity 7100 octa-core processor supports day-to-day tasks and multitasking. The device features 6 GB of physical RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

A virtual RAM expansion feature of up to 6 GB is also available. To store additional documents and photographs, the device supports microSD cards of up to 1 TB.

6,500 mAh battery and flexible charging

The 6,500 mAh Li-Po battery is designed to keep you going throughout working days away from the office. The manufacturer claims a maximum battery life of 40 hours’ talk time and 280 hours’ standby time, depending on usage.

USB-C wired charging up to 30 W allows you to top up the battery during breaks. Wireless charging and reverse charging are also supported, allowing you to power compatible devices via USB-C.

The power adaptor is not included in the box.

5G connectivity, eSIM and security features

Compatibility with 5G networks allows you to transfer photos, documents and operational information when adequate coverage is available.

The Dual SIM function with nanoSIM and eSIM allows you to manage two compatible phone profiles. Connectivity also includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC.

The fingerprint reader, facial recognition and satellite positioning systems round off the features for mobile working.

Professional applications and compatibility

The HAMMER Construction 3 5G Military Edition is suitable for construction sites, building maintenance, technical installations, industrial activities and field service. It combines mobile communication, preliminary measurements and photographic capture in a rugged device.

It supports 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G mobile networks in compatible bands, nanoSIM and eSIM profiles, microSD cards and compatible USB-C accessories. It does not feature a thermal camera and is not ATEX-certified.
