HAMMER Construction 3 5G: a rugged smartphone with built-in tools for the construction site

The HAMMER Construction 3 5G is a rugged professional smartphone, designed to support technicians, fitters and operators whilst working in the field. It combines 5G connectivity with built-in tools that facilitate site surveys, preliminary checks and the documentation of work carried out.

Thanks to the electrical cable detector, laser rangefinder and night-vision camera, it brings together a range of useful functions in a single mobile device.

Cable detector for preliminary checks

The Cable Catch system helps to locate live electrical cables hidden within walls. The display indicators, audible alerts and vibrations allow you to examine the area before drilling or carrying out installations.

This function is intended to assist with preliminary checks and does not replace certified detection tools or electrical safety procedures.

Laser rangefinder up to 50 metres

The integrated laser rangefinder allows you to measure distances of up to 50 metres and calculate areas and volumes. The green laser makes it easier to locate the measurement point, even in brightly lit environments.

The function is accessible via the HAMMER Toolbox, which also includes other tools to support technical tasks. It is a practical solution for site surveys, installations and dimensional checks.

IP69 protection and impact-resistant construction

The IP69 rating indicates a high level of protection against dust and high-pressure water jets. Impact resistance is rated IK04, whilst the MIL-STD-810H standard relates to the device’s ability to withstand demanding environmental conditions.

The manufacturer specifies a 1.5-metre drop test. The internal HEXCore structure is designed to help distribute the energy of impacts and limit stress on the components.

These features do not constitute ATEX certification for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Cameras for technical documentation and night vision

The 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) allows you to capture detailed photographs during site inspections, checks and maintenance activities.

The 24 MP night vision camera enables images to be captured even in environments with no visible lighting, facilitating the documentation of technical rooms and dimly lit spaces.

The 32 MP front-facing camera is suitable for video calls and communication with colleagues and technical managers. The device does not feature a thermal camera.

6.58-inch display with glove mode

The 6.58-inch IPS display, with a resolution of 1080 × 2408 pixels, provides ample space for viewing floor plans, documents, photographs and professional applications.

The 120 Hz refresh rate makes scrolling through content smoother. The Gorilla Glass 5 helps protect the screen, whilst glove mode makes it easier to use in operational settings.

Android 16, Dimensity 7100 processor and expandable storage

The MediaTek Dimensity 7100 octa-core processor, combined with 6 GB of physical RAM, supports professional applications and everyday multitasking. A virtual RAM expansion feature is also available, providing up to an additional 6 GB.

The 128 GB internal storage allows you to store documents, images and applications. The storage capacity can be expanded via a microSD card up to 1 TB.

The Android 16 operating system enables you to use compatible apps for communication, task management and mobile productivity.

6500 mAh battery with fast and wireless charging

The 6500 mAh Li-Po battery provides sufficient power for working days away from the office. The manufacturer claims up to 40 hours’ talk time and 280 hours’ standby time, with actual battery life varying depending on usage.

The USB-C charging at up to 30 W allows you to top up the battery during breaks. Wireless charging and reverse charging are also supported, allowing you to power other compatible devices via USB-C.

The charging adapter is not included in the box.

5G connectivity, eSIM and security

5G connectivity makes it easy to transfer photos, videos and documents when a compatible network is available. Support for Dual SIM with nanoSIM and eSIM allows you to manage two phone profiles in standby mode.

The device also features dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and satellite positioning. VoLTE and VoWiFi functions expand communication options on networks supported by mobile operators.

The fingerprint reader, facial recognition and programmable button round off the features for mobile working.

Professional applications and compatibility

The HAMMER Construction 3 5G is suitable for construction, building maintenance, electrical installations, technical support and field services. It is particularly useful when mobile communication, preliminary measurements and image capture need to be combined in demanding work environments.

It is compatible with 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G mobile networks in supported bands, with nanoSIM and eSIM, microSD cards and compatible USB-C accessories. It does not feature a thermal camera and is not ATEX-certified.
