The Epson TM-T20IV is a thermal receipt printer designed for POS environments that require speed, reliability and control over running costs. With a print speed of up to 250 mm/s, it allows you to print receipts quickly and keep the checkout running smoothly.
Reduce daily paper consumption
The automatic paper-saving function optimises the use of each roll by reducing the top and bottom margins, line spacing and the height of barcodes. The printer can also print the top logo of the next receipt before cutting the current one, further reducing the top margin by 12 mm.
This optimised management helps to reduce the amount of paper used without complicating staff’s day-to-day operations.
250 mm/s to speed up receipt printing
With a maximum print speed of 250 mm/s, the TM-T20IV meets the needs of checkout counters where speed is essential. Its resolution of 203 x 203 dpi ensures clear printing of the information on the receipts.
It accepts rolls with a width of 79.5 ± 0.5 mm or 57.5 ± 0.5 mm, with a maximum diameter of 83 mm. A roll spacer is included to facilitate the use of the narrower format.
USB for flexible integration
This version features native USB 2.0 and RS-232 interfaces. This dual connectivity facilitates its integration into various till environments and allows the connection to be upgraded without replacing the printer.
A cash drawer opening interface is also integrated, enabling the TM-T20IV to be used at the heart of a complete POS system.
Reliability designed for professional print volumes
The TM-T20IV is designed to ensure long-term operation in commercial environments. Its mechanism has a stated service life of 15 million lines, whilst its print head is rated for 150 km or 150 million pulses.
The automatic paper cutter is rated for 2 million cuts and Epson specifies an average mean time between failures of 360,000 hours. These features meet the needs of outlets where receipt printing is a daily, recurring task.
Easy to use at the point of sale
The printer features a paper-end sensor and a low-roll sensor, enabling staff to plan ahead for the replacement of consumables. The automatic partial cut also makes it easier to retrieve receipts after printing.
Its stated operating noise level is 55 dB(A). It operates using a 24 V mains adapter supplied with the device.
