The Ascom d63 Messenger is a professional DECT handset designed for mobile workplace communication. Combining voice, advanced messaging and location functionality, it helps employees stay connected while moving around demanding professional environments.

Clear wideband audio for everyday communication

With a frequency response of 50Hz to 7000Hz, the handset delivers wideband audio designed to improve speech clarity. A duplex DSP speakerphone also enables convenient hands-free conversations when a headset is not required.

Advanced messaging through Ascom Unite

The d63 Messenger goes beyond standard voice communication with two-way text and interactive messaging. When integrated with compatible Ascom Unite solutions, messages and alerts from third-party systems can be delivered directly to the handset.

Compatible deployments can also filter, sort and prioritise alerts, helping staff identify important information quickly. Individual messages support up to 160 characters, while the handset can store up to 20,000 characters across received and sent messages.

DECT location for mobile professional environments

Integrated DECT location functionality allows the handset's position to be identified within a compatible infrastructure. This provides additional operational visibility for organisations with employees who regularly work away from fixed desks.

Bluetooth and flexible headset connectivity

Integrated Bluetooth allows compatible wireless headsets to be connected for greater freedom of movement. A 3.5mm headset socket is also available for wired accessories, giving users flexibility when selecting their preferred professional audio setup.

Practical interface and extensive directories

The handset features a 240 x 320 pixel colour LCD display, vibration alerts, three hotkeys and five-way navigation. It supports 18 built-in interface languages, with one additional language downloadable.

Contact management includes a local directory for 250 entries, a company directory for up to 1,000 entries and access to an unlimited central directory when supported by the system. Users can also assign selectable ringtones to individual contacts.

Battery life designed for long working shifts

The Li-Polymer battery provides up to 20 hours of talk time and 240 hours of standby time. Charging takes less than four hours, supporting regular use across extended working periods.

The Ascom d63 Messenger is suited to manufacturing, healthcare and other professional environments requiring mobile DECT voice and messaging. It operates in the 1880–1900MHz DECT frequency range and offers a stated range of up to 50m indoors and 300m outdoors under suitable conditions.
