The base of the heasdet connects with a wired to your TV, then the connection between the base and the heasdet is wireless. To connect the base to your TV the recommendation is to use the optical audio port using the cable included with the headset. If your TV also has a 3.5mm port you can also use that with the other cable included with the headset.
