This is a license free radios and all of them are programmed with the same frequencies, so if someone else has the same radio and is withing coverage and happens to be in your same channel/sub-channel they will be able to hear your conversation.

If you want full privacy then you need to get a licensed radio with a license that has unique frequencies just for you. Another option could be PoC (push over cellular) radios which work with a SIM card or over WiFi where all the communication is encripted.
