The Zebra LI4278 is a wireless 1D barcode scanner designed to simplify data capture in demanding professional environments. Its linear imaging technology enables fast scanning of traditional barcodes on paper, as well as codes displayed on the screen of a smartphone, tablet or computer.

Freedom of movement with Bluetooth

Thanks to its Bluetooth v2.1 Class 2 connection, the LI4278 eliminates cable restrictions and allows operators to move around more freely. The radio range can reach 100 m line of sight with the presentation cradle configuration, making it particularly suitable for retail, warehouses and other working environments where greater mobility is required.

Fast scanning across a wide range of distances

With a speed of up to 547 scans per second, the scanner enables smooth barcode capture. It supports numerous 1D symbologies and can scan a 100% UPC-A code from 2.5 to 78.7 cm and a 200% UPC-A code from 7.6 to 140 cm.

Its motion tolerance of 63.5 cm per second also helps speed up operations, while its clear aiming line makes targeting easier in varying lighting conditions.

Battery life suited to intensive use

The rechargeable and replaceable battery provides up to 57,000 scans per charge. A full charge provides up to 72 hours of operation, helping to reduce interruptions during intensive working days.

Batch mode also allows scanning to continue when the device is out of communication range. The LI4278 can store more than 500 UPC barcodes in memory and automatically transmit them once the connection is restored.

Robust design for professional environments

With its IP53 protection rating, the housing is designed to withstand dust and spray cleaning. The scanner can withstand more than 100 consecutive drops from 1.5 m onto concrete at room temperature and can also withstand drops from 1.8 m onto a concrete surface.

Its contacts are rated for more than 250,000 cradle insertions, meeting the requirements of workstations where the scanner is frequently removed and replaced.

Simplified management and integration into your environment

The LI4278 is compatible with 123Scan, Remote Scanner Management (RSM), Scanner Management Services (SMA) and Zebra Scanner SDK. These tools make it easier to configure, manage and integrate the scanner into a professional device fleet.

The cradle interface supports RS232, RS485 (IBM), USB and keyboard emulation. The scanner is also backwards compatible with LS4278 series cradles, making it easier to migrate from an existing installation.
