Zebra DS2278 SR - Simple and efficient wireless 1D and 2D scanning
The Zebra DS2278-SR is a wireless 1D and 2D barcode scanner designed to simplify data capture operations. It combines Bluetooth connectivity, omnidirectional scanning and Zebra PRZM decoding technology to make work easier at points of sale and in other professional environments.
Captures 1D and 2D codes
The DS2278-SR supports a wide variety of 1D and 2D symbologies. It supports codes such as Code 39, Code 128, UPC/EAN, GS1 DataBar, PDF417, Aztec, Data Matrix, MaxiCode, QR, Micro QR and Han Xin, as well as postcodes.
Its omnidirectional scanning eliminates the need to pre-align the scanner with the barcode, helping to achieve a more natural and faster scan during repetitive operations.
PRZM technology for difficult barcodes
Zebra PRZM intelligent imaging technology improves the decoding of low-quality barcodes. The system is designed to facilitate first-pass reading and reduce interruptions during scanning operations.
Bluetooth connectivity for wireless operation
The DS2278 features Bluetooth 4.0 with BLE Class 2 and supports HID and serial port profiles. Zebra’s Scan-to-Connect technology also makes it easy to pair with compatible Bluetooth computers, tablets and smartphones.
Battery for long working days
Its 2400 mAh lithium-ion battery is designed to keep the scanner operational throughout intensive shifts. Zebra specifies up to 100,000 scans per charge at 60 scans per minute under its test conditions.
The stated battery life is up to 100 hours on a full charge, depending on usage patterns. The scanner also supports various charging methods, including docking and USB connection.
Ready for daily professional use
The DS2278 is designed to withstand multiple drops from 1.5 m onto concrete and has an IP42 rating. It can operate between 0 and 50 °C and withstands ambient light levels of up to 107,600 lux.
