Kandao Meeting Ultra – Immersive, standalone 360° collaboration

The Kandao Meeting Ultra combines the essential functions of a video conferencing room in a single device: 360° video capture, dual touchscreens, microphones, a speaker and an integrated operating system. This design minimises the number of devices that need to be set up on the table and allows both in-person and remote participants to follow discussions more naturally.

360° coverage to better capture the entire room

Its dual-lens system captures the surroundings of the device and provides video output of up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 frames per second. The device can therefore show all participants without them having to gather in front of a traditional webcam.

Several display modes allow the composition of the image to be adapted to the progress of the meeting. The overview view shows the entire room, whilst the participant- and speaker-focused modes automatically arrange the participants on screen.

AI keeps the focus on participants

Intelligent processing analyses the meeting to detect people and track the active speaker. The framing can adjust automatically when the speaker changes, reducing the need for manual camera adjustments during a presentation or discussion.

A digital zoom of up to 8x is also available. The user can lock a view and make adjustments when the situation requires a specific framing.

Two Full HD touchscreens built directly into the table

The two 15.6-inch LCD screens with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz place remote participants right in front of the cameras. This layout promotes more natural interaction whilst allowing the meeting to be controlled directly from the device.

Each screen supports 10-point capacitive touch control. The surfaces are also designed to minimise glare and fingerprints, a significant advantage for equipment shared in a meeting room.

Audio coverage suited to group discussions

The audio system combines 8 omnidirectional beamforming microphones with a 10 W speaker. The stated pickup range is up to 5.5 m, allowing contributions from around the table to be picked up without the need for individual microphones.

Noise suppression, acoustic echo cancellation and voice enhancement help to make conversations clearer. These features are particularly useful in spaces where the sound of keyboards, people moving about or surrounding equipment can disrupt discussions.

Standalone with Android or connected to your computer

Meeting Ultra can operate as a standalone video conferencing system thanks to its integrated Android environment and touchscreens. This configuration allows you to use compatible meeting solutions directly without always having to use a dedicated computer.

For BYOD environments, USB mode also allows the system to be connected to a PC or Mac. The USB-C output then transmits audio and video in accordance with the UVC and UAC standards.

Connections designed for a professional meeting room

The connectivity options include 3 USB-A ports, a USB-C audio/video output, a USB-C power input, an HDMI input and two HDMI outputs. This makes it possible to share an external source or add screens in a larger room.

Network connectivity is available via Gigabit Ethernet or dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi 6. The Ethernet port also supports IEEE 802.3bt PoE. Bluetooth 5.0 rounds off the wireless connectivity options.

Content sharing and local storage

For presentations, a computer can be connected to the HDMI input. Wireless sharing is also supported via AirPlay and Miracast, making it easy to use different devices during the same meeting.

The system has 64 GB of internal storage and supports a microSD card of up to 1 TB in FAT32 or exFAT formats. In particular, it supports local panoramic recording of meetings.
