The Epson TM-U220IIB is a impact dot matrix printer designed for printing receipts in POS environments. Its dot-matrix technology, serial connection and support for multiple paper widths make it a suitable solution for compatible professional checkout systems.
Dot-matrix technology for POS applications
Unlike thermal printers, the TM-U220IIB uses impact dot matrix printing technology. It achieves a speed of 4.70 lines per second in a 40-column configuration at 16 characters per inch.
Its extended character set allows it to cater for various international operating environments, and the ePOS protocol is also supported.
Three roll widths for greater flexibility
The printer accepts three paper formats to suit the requirements of the point of sale. You can use rolls with a width of 76 mm, 69.5 mm or 57.5 mm, each with a maximum diameter of 83 mm.
This flexibility allows you to select a receipt format suited to the available space and the information your business needs to print.
Serial connection for existing infrastructure
This configuration features an RS-232 interface for connection to the POS system. It is therefore suitable for checkout terminals and professional equipment using a serial connection.
A dedicated interface for opening the cash drawer also allows the printer to be integrated into a complete point-of-sale system.
Automatic cutting and convenient paper management
