Epson ColorWorks C4000e BK - High-resolution colour labels on demand
Professional colour printing right in the workplace
The Epson ColorWorks C4000e BK is a desktop colour label printer designed to enable businesses to produce customised labels in small to medium volumes in-house. Its compact design makes it easy to install at the workstation, whilst on-demand printing allows labels to be quickly adapted to different operational requirements.
The PrecisionCore print head technology and four-colour output enable the production of labels featuring text, images and detailed graphics. The printer also offers colour calibration tools, including colour matching and ICC profiles, which are useful for achieving consistent colour reproduction in professional applications.
Resolution up to 1200 x 1200 dpi
With a maximum resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi, the ColorWorks C4000e BK is suitable for applications where label legibility and visual quality are important. Resolutions of 1200 x 600, 600 x 600 and 300 x 600 dpi are also available to adapt printing to different production requirements.
Print speeds reach 100 mm/s at 300 x 600 dpi with a print width of 102 mm. The maximum printable width is 108 mm, offering good flexibility for labels of different sizes.
Durable pigment inks for professional labels
The individual cartridges use pigment inks designed to produce fast-drying prints that are smudge-proof, water-resistant and fade-resistant. Separate colour management also allows individual cartridges to be replaced as and when necessary.
This configuration uses glossy black ink. The C4000e range includes configurations with either glossy or matt black, designed to suit the characteristics of the media being used.
Intuitive operation with colour LCD display
The 2.7-inch colour LCD display makes it easy to monitor and configure the printer during day-to-day use. Replacing roll media has been designed to be straightforward, making the machine suitable even for environments where frequent material changes take place.
The built-in automatic cutter simplifies the separation of labels after printing. It can also be replaced without necessarily requiring the intervention of a technician, facilitating routine maintenance.
Roll media and continuous forms
The ColorWorks C4000e BK supports rolls with an outer diameter of up to 4 inches and continuous-form paper. It can handle continuous labels, die-cut labels, paper with a black mark and labels with a black mark.
The availability of compatible matt, glossy and polypropylene materials allows the solution to be configured according to the type of label and the intended application.
Integration into existing printing systems
The printer supports the ESC/Label and ZPL II languages in emulation mode, facilitating its integration into various professional print workflows. Drivers are available for Windows, Linux and Mac, as well as SDKs for iOS and Android.
The range can also be used for wireless printing via an optional Wi-Fi dongle. Wi-Fi should therefore not be considered a standard feature of the configuration.
