The accessory connector is gold-plated, waterproof, and lockable, providing a reliable connection even after drops or exposure to saltwater. In addition, the radio automatically adjusts voice settings according to the accessory in use (earpiece, throat mic, etc.), ensuring intelligibility in all situations.
