Datalogic Gryphon GBT4500 - Wireless 1D and 2D scanning via Bluetooth
The Datalogic Gryphon GBT4500 is a wireless 1D and 2D barcode scanner designed for professional operations requiring mobility, accuracy and versatile scanning. It combines a 1-megapixel sensor with omnidirectional scanning and Bluetooth connectivity to facilitate work in retail, healthcare, services and other professional environments.
1 MP sensor and omnidirectional scanning
The 1280 x 800 pixel imager sensor allows codes to be captured from different orientations without the need for pre-alignment. It also offers image and document capture functions in BMP, JPEG and TIFF formats.
This Standard Range version supports 1D, 2D, postal, stacked and composite codes, including QR, Micro QR, Data Matrix, Aztec, MaxiCode and PDF417.
Bluetooth for greater freedom of movement
The GBT4500 features Bluetooth 4.0 with BLE and operates on the 2.4 GHz band. The manufacturer specifies a range of up to 100 metres in open space when using the base station, although the range may vary when connected directly to other Bluetooth devices.
Communication features data encryption and reader authentication, as well as the SPP profile to facilitate integration into various professional environments.
Contactless wireless charging
The inductive wireless charging system eliminates conventional electrical contacts between the reader and the base. This helps to reduce the cleaning and maintenance tasks associated with physical contact points.
Its replaceable 3250 mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 80,000 scans per charge. The specified charging time using an external power supply is approximately 4 hours at 12 V DC.
Precise aiming and read confirmation
The aiming system uses a 650 nm red laser, whilst white illumination helps to clearly visualise the capture area. Motionix technology detects movement to facilitate the transition between reading modes.
A successful scan can be confirmed via Datalogic Green Spot, 3GL, LED indicators, an audible signal and vibration, offering different types of feedback depending on the working environment.
Ready for everyday professional use
The Gryphon GBT4500 features IP52 protection and is designed to withstand repeated drops from a height of 1.8 m onto concrete. It can operate between 0 and 50 °C and withstands ambient light levels of up to 100,000 lux.
