    Motorola XT420 Twin

    Hello team at One Direct! I hope you are all well, I am having a really tough time deciding between the Motorola XT420 and the T82 Extreme. I work at an outdoor activity centre in the countryside. We currently all have HYT TC-320 I believe they are but we’re looking to upgrade to something a little better in all areas. We’ve narrowed down to liking the looks of both the XT420 and the T82 Extreme but we just can’t decide which would suit us better. Our site is all rural and not very built up minus a few areas. Around 130 acre site with staff members needing to be able to communicate from one end to another at times. Our current radios get a bit sketchy and break up often from one side to another so the extra money on new radios is definitely needed. Appreciate any advice or recommendations but ideally would love help deciding which of the radios would suit us better. Thanks for your time. - Josh

    The XT420 is part of the professional radios from Motorola, on the other hand the T82 Extreme is part of their consumer line. Both radios will get the job done and in this case both offer more or less the same coverage but the XT420 is a far more robust radio, the casing can withstand far more use and the battery will last a lot longer, at the same time you are paying more for them. If customers have the budget we always recommend the XT420.
