The Mitex Sports VHF radio is a powerful licensed 5-watt single-unit portable walkie-talkie, which has been designed and programmed with sports and leisure industries in mind 

Easy use and set up

Mitex specializes in out-of-the-box PMR449 5-watt two-way radios. These pre-programmed 16-channel radios are an excellent solution for businesses and individuals who require more power and more range than a PMR446 radio can provide. This radio has a range that can extend to up to 25km in optimum conditions. As these walkie-talkies are far more powerful than PMR446 radios, a license which costs £75 for 5 years is required.

The Mitex Sports VHF licensed radio is water, dust, and shock-resistant and is ideal for outdoor use in sports and leisure environments for activities such as paintballing, fishing, golf, cycling, motorcyclists, abseiling, horse riding, ballooning, rowing, skiing, running, motoring,  rallying, hunting and shooting, and archery.

*The maximum range given by manufacturers is based on ideal conditions, such as from hilltop to hilltop, but the range you get will be much less if you are in a built-up area. Trees, walls, hills, and even the weather can affect the range of your two-way radio. The rule of thumb is that for every 1 watt you will get 1 mile of coverage guarantee, or more depending on the conditions.
