The IPEVO VZ-R works with HDMI connection to screens, projectors, or computers via USB. The 8-megapixel, dual-mode VZ-R HDMI / USB document camera captures all your documents, textbooks, illustrations, devices, and 3D objects, and transmits real-time images directly to your television screen. It is also compatible with most projectors and monitors with an HDMI input.

Connectivity

Use a VZ-R USB connection with a computer (Mac, Windows PC, or Chromebook) via USB when the HDMI connection is not available. You can project images in real-time on a large screen through a projector connected to your computer. When in USB mode, VZ-R is compatible with a variety of software, allowing you to use it in different ways.

Functionality

The IPEVO VZ-R can be used with the recently developed IPEVO Visualizer software (optional) which has an intuitive user interface and a borderless window. In addition, you can duplicate it as a webcam for online meetings, video conferencing, or remote teaching when used with video conferencing software such as GoToMeeting, Skype, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Hangout.

With a Sony CMOS image sensor and a powerful integrated system on a chip (SoC) of Ambarella, you will get improved performance in areas of focus speed, noise reduction in low light conditions, and colour reproduction compared to previous models of the IPEVO document cameras.

Design and materials

Inside the VZ-R camera, you will find a type of fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastic-GVX-5H (developed by the Swiss company EMS-GRIVORY). With it, you will enjoy greater durability as the VZ-R is less likely to separate from heavy daily use. And speaking of lightweight, you will appreciate the portability of VZ-R as it only weighs 1 kg, perfect for switching between classrooms or conference rooms!

With a rotating head and reinforced support with multiple joints, you can place the VZ-R at different heights, angles, and various orientations to capture your material.

VZ-R features a built-in LED light that provides additional lighting to capture material in low-light environments. It is ideal for use in classrooms or conference rooms that do not have adequate lighting.

Adjust the images in real-time instantly to better fit your needs using the buttons conveniently located in VZ-R. You can rotate, apply video filters, adjust the exposure, refocus and so much more.

Microphone

The microphone only works when the VZ-R is used in USB mode. This is very useful for video conferencing, recording lessons, and other activities. The new IPEVO VZ-R document camera’s built-in microphones will bring higher audio to your classroom for a relatively affordable price.
