The Midland BRO2 Pro Z is a robust, intuitive and reliable talkie, both electronically and mechanically. The aluminium chassis, headset jack with 5000 guaranteed inserts and 1800 mAh lithium battery make it ideal for communicating at work. It features 32 PMR446 16 + 16 pre-programmed channels .
This model is ideal for use in shops, hotels and restaurants, as it is efficient, ergonomic and robust, with a set of essential functions that guarantee fast communications.
For example, with the "Scan" function, unlockable via the programmer (optional), the radio constantly checks the channels to find conversations in progress and put the radio on the busy channel. It has 32 channels in total, which use the PMR 446 frequency band, with 50 CTCSS tones and 116 DCS tones.
The lithium battery ensures a long service life and is automatically managed by the Auto Power Save function for efficient consumption. The sleek design is complemented by the included belt clip which can be fitted immediately.
What is the battery power saving function?
This is the function that optimises consumption in order to save energy. When the walkie has no transmission, it switches to standby mode so as not to waste battery power during that time. This does not affect the radio's ability to receive incoming transmissions.
What is a CTCSS tone.
The Midland BRO2 Pro Z features 50 CTCSS tones (Continuous Tone Controlled Silencing System). This sound code(inaudible), is sent during transmission. In order for the signal to be heard by the receiver, the tone of this code must match that set on the receiver's radio.
