Exclusive ARTS ™ (Automatic Range Verification System) System
Only Vertex Standard equipment is designed to inform you that you and another station equipped with ARTS ™ are within communication range. If it has been out of range for more than 2 minutes, the equipment detects the lack of signal and emits a sound to warn you. The base station can then alert the field unit to re-enter the range. It is a great solution for your workers to stay coordinated.
Emergency functions and isolated workers
At the touch of a button, the emergency alert can be programmed to immediately notify help. In addition, the Lone Worker system is introduced, which is composed of an integrated timer that requires the user to reset it at a predetermined time interval. If it is not reset, the radio automatically switches to the emergency mode for help. This type of system is ideal for managers since, in this way, they can monitor the security status of users working alone.
This walkie-talkie has a universal UNI battery for walkie-talkies that allows compatibility with the chargers of the old models of the range.
The Motorola VX261 is delivered with UNI 1200mAh battery. There is an optional 2300mAh battery.

This Motorola two way radio is available to be programmed as:
- VHF: 136 - 174 MHz
*The maximum range given by manufacturers is based on ideal conditions, such as from hilltop to hilltop, but the range you actually get will be much less if you are in a built-up area. Trees, walls, hills and even the weather can affect the range of your two-way radio. Rule of thumb is that for every 1 watt you will get 1 mile of coverage guarantee, or more depending on the conditions.
