Versatile, easy-to-use Digital two-way Radio
The Mitex General DMR Digital Two-Way Radio is a fully functional Digital DMR tier II/ Analogue switchable unit designed with versatility and ease of use in mind. With up to 5-watt power output on UHF, the General DMR is a powerful, extremely durable and yet relatively compact radio that delivers clear and reliable communications in demanding conditions in both Digital or Analogue modes.
16 Digital and Analogue Channels
The Mitex DMR is supplied pre-programmed with our normal 16 General channels in analogue and a further 16 channels in Digital DMR mode and is ready to use straight from the box, with no set up required and minimal user training. The General DMR talks to all channels on our normal General and General Xtreme units and Channels 13, 14 and 15 are common across all analogue Mitex UHF hand portables including the General, GenX, Security, Site HD, PRO UHF, as well as the Mitex Mobi mobile radio in Analogue Mode; maximising usability across the Mitex range. The unit can also be specially programmed by your dealer to work with your existing Motorola and/or Hytera digital or analogue units. Channel 16 offers a scan function.
The General DMR’s applications are endless, providing a simple to use, heavy-duty communications solution for consumers and business alike. The General range is now widely used for activities such as hiking, cycling & Motorsport as well as being an effective tool in business, schools, shops and warehouse applications. The Mitex General DMR Digital Two-Way Radio is also a perfect step up for the PMR446 and 449 Analogue user that has a need to move into the more secure Digital DMR over time or has an existing Digital fleet to add to.
The General DMR will talk to the standard General and GeneralX on all channels straight from the box in analogue mode and is covered under the same UK Simple Light licence, so is ideal as a step up to a more secure digital unit while still using your existing Generals and GeneralXtremes. Existing Mitex Headsets and Antennas can also be used with the General DMR and a new Six Way Charger is available.
The price of this radio does not include programming costs. Onedirect can programme your radios at a cost of £10 per radio (Excl. VAT).
If you already have a license, please send us the last page of your license papers. Alternatively, you can send us one of the radios from your existing fleet, so we can copy the frequencies and programme your new radios.

This Motorola two way radio is available to be programmed as:
UHF: 403 - 470 MHz
*The maximum range given by manufacturers is based on ideal conditions, such as from hilltop to hilltop, but the range you actually get will be much less if you are in a built-up area. Trees, walls, hills and even the weather can affect the range of your two-way radio. Rule of thumb is that for every 1 watt you will get 1 mile of coverage guarantee, or more depending on the conditions.
